Budgeting apps have always asked too much: tag every transaction, build the spreadsheet, keep it up to date, feel guilty when you don’t. We wanted the opposite — an app that does the reading for you and answers the question you actually have, the moment you have it.
So we pointed a capable AI model at real, read-only transaction data and gave it one job: turn “where does my money go?” into a straight answer. No dashboards to decode, no manual categorizing, no judgment. Just your money, in plain English.
Superfin is an independent product built by a small team. We’re not a bank and we don’t want to be one — we don’t hold your money or issue accounts. We’re the layer that helps you understand the money you already have.
What we believe
Read-only, always
Superfin reads your transactions to make sense of them. It cannot move money, make payments, or change anything at your bank — by design, not by policy.
Plain English over dashboards
Most money apps hand you charts and leave the thinking to you. We’d rather you just ask — “how much did I spend on eating out?” — and get a real answer.
Your bank login stays yours
Connections run through Plaid, the same infrastructure thousands of financial apps rely on. We never see your bank credentials, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
You own your data
Disconnect a bank whenever you want. Ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it, and we will. No dark patterns, no hostage-taking.
Who’s behind it
Superfin is made by two founders who got tired of not knowing where their own money went. We build in the open, ship fast, and read every piece of feedback ourselves — Superfin is in active beta, so a lot of what ships next comes straight from what you tell us. If something’s broken or missing, we want to hear it.
